In cosmetic research, painful experiments are conducted on hundreds of thousands of animals each year, including rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice. These tests include skin or eye irritation and skin sensitization. More than 12 million animals are used in EU research every year. This equates to 137 animals suffering cruel and painful experiments every 10 minutes.
